The Emily - Geometric Shapes Artist Series

This strap art is designed by local Canadian artist Sterling Smith.

Sterling honed in on my current style through the pandemic where he started painting cubes and blocks with bold colors and precise angles. He uses latex and spray paint as well as matte medium and painter's tape to get the clean, hard-edge lines that you see in his work. Despite being an outdoorsy person, his art primarily takes inspiration from the sharp angles and flat surfaces of urban environments. Doorways, hallways, corridors, and urban architecture all speak to him. Whether he is painting a commission or just having fun, he is continually on the hunt to find more depth and dimension in my art.
